Looking Back: Partners In Crime
05:53
She came, she saw, she conquered. There have been a lot of doom-mongers, Doctor Who fans who think they know what's best for the show, who predicted Catherine Tate's character would ruin the show.
Not only were they wrong but it looks like Donna Noble could be better that I thought she was going to be.
Much better. She's essentially the same character we seen in The Runaway Bride but a little more insightful and wistful. Donna hasn't lost the ability to cut the Doctor down to size with her comments as witnessed by her dismissive attitude to the news that Martha fancied The Doctor. "Charity Martha!" She says in that usual Donna way. Catherine Tate captured Donna's longing to find something better in life for herself and special comment needs to go to Bernard Cribbins who is brilliant as Grandad Wilf: more scenes between them please!
Partners In Crime proved the naysayers wrong and it was a perfect opening episode for a series that promises to be the best so far.

Donna Chat
12:54

Hello everyone. Welcome back to the segment of the blog that casts a massive Dalek-like (say that drunk) eye over the proceedings of the
Doctor Who Forum and sees what everyone is saying about Donna. In the next few weeks I shall do my Disciples duty and see what other forums are saying and report it here.
Let's begin!
At the sight of the new trailer during a showing of overrated wonky camera fest that is Cloverfield
bruno236801 says
I think the trailer was better than the actual movie, it had a well weird pace. Anyway, no, the Doctor wasn't crying, but I think Donna was at the end. Yay Rose! My friend gasped when we saw her.
It's probably not the first or last time men across the country will gasp for Billie Piper considering the ratings for Belle Du Jour!
Meanwhile, Disciple Sidderz starts a petition to see Donna heatbutt at least one person/alien in the next season.
Disciple Sidderz says
Please Production Team, if you haven't included a headbutt somewhere in teh script already in S4 do it for the finale in a late draft. You know it's what everyone wants.
Absolutely. Bring it on I say. Jeremy_Griffiths, another forum poster, predicts a Donna Headbutt Apocalypse.
Jeremy_Griffiths says
Donna's gonna literally break the fourth wall with a headbutt and thereby headbutt us all in the process!
Let's pray Paris Hilton is tuning into Doctor Who that night. Perhaps she can get some Donna Justice.
